Assignment #9 

Is there a short-term or long-term goal that you want to achieve in your life? What is it? 

How to turn your goals into reality? What’s your plan? 

I actually have a short term goal that is I want to earn more money that next year I can pay tuition by myself.

And the long term goal is I want to go to Australia to get a part time job in the future, because my mom think I need to expand my horizons not only focus on Taiwan but everywhere.

So now I start earning money by two part time jobs, I learn some investment ways to let myself stronger, I want to be freedom of wealth in the future!

What do you think is the key to success?

 I think the first key to success is your own mentality. If you want to do big things, you must not be so short-sighted. You must broaden your horizons. You must not entangle the small areas, but you can't ignore  the small details, either. The line between success and unsuccess is very small, right?

perspective觀點:

My perspective on many things is calm, so don't lie to me.

drop out放棄:

Don’t drop out things that you’ve worked hard for a long time, it’s worse than failure.

grit意志力:

Good grit is half your success!

perserverance毅力:

John's perseverance is much stronger than that of others.

My brother is a sprinter trained by their school.

So there is no one in the world who is not a procrastinator.

☝rational 理性的

Few people in the emotional world are rational.

After this game, he has the epiphany that victory or defeat isn't the most important thing.

Tim Urban is a host who is good at persuading others and using his eloquence to attract attention.

From this talk, I learned that there is a procrastinator, and at every conclusion I found that in fact, I also seem to be a procrastinator in certain things in my life. So I am very grateful to Tim Urban for let me  examine my own problems. 

The whole speech uses a lot of new terms, which is refreshing.

Although the whole speech is 14 minutes long, it doesn’t feel boring at all.

New topics give me new ideas and different inspirations. It’s a great experience.

If I can choose, do I prefer to work from home, or to work in the office with my colleagues?

For me, I want to work in the office with my colleagues, because I can discuss with my colleagues immediately, and I can receive their thoughts if I have any questions I also can ask them their opinion. 

Second, I think if I work in my home I may be too relax due to the comfort of the environment resulted in inefficiency.

Do I use AI everyday？

Artificial intelligence has slowly entered our lives since I was born, and the evolution of technology has become the focus day by day. 

Since I grew up, this fear of being surpassed by robots, but wanting to see its real intolerance is my most ambivalent mood.  Technology is ubiquitous in life. 

For example: driverless driving, although there are still safety concerns, it does bring great convenience to the group, or smart appliances, this is definitely the most inspiring labor for housewives.  Wisdom, so the application of AI artificial intelligence is really everywhere.

 Is technology harmful to me?

I think the answer is YES, because the cellphone invades my life, although cellphone is useful but it really takes me lots of time to play, that I can’t concentrate on my work, even my problem is the real majority but I think technology does affect me.

 adolescents 青少年: At the age age 13~18 years people.

Some of the  adolescents in this school are politician's children. 

manipulate 操縱: Control someone.

I think it's not a smart discipline to manipulate your kids life.

savvy 精明的: Have good understanding knowledge.

The manager of this department store  is very savvy that each employee worshipped her.

sensibly 明智地: A way that shows wisdom or prudence.

My teacher makes decisions sensibly so that let me want to learn from him.

digital 數位的: Like a software be used by a computer and other electronic equipment.

Now most smartphones photos quality are as good as digital camera.
